Louisiana ‘Seasons Of Green’
Louisiana seasons of green explores the rich colors of spring and fall in the bayou state. The lush sub tropical climate of Louisiana comes alive during the spring and summer months. Live oak trees laden in moss droop to the ground and azaleas bloom underneath. The bottom land hardwood forests receive fresh rain and their streams and creeks overflow.
The cypress swamp comes alive with dense foliage and spring choruses of frogs and insects fill the humid understory and wildflowers abound. Egrets and herons beginning to nest and alligators rest on the banks in the sun. The cypress trees become filled in with vivid green foliage and the water levels rise allowing you into deep corners under the canopy unaccessible during the fall and winter. Spring and summer thunderstorms happen daily and create interesting clouds that leave the scenery wet, moist and reflecting light. This is one of my most favorite times to get out and explore.
